Pastor, J.D. Harris, Sr, age 73 of Portland Tennessee transitioned peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, with his loved ones by his side. Pastor Harris fought a good fight and finished his course. The Lord called him home and gave him rest. Pastor Harris recently retired as senior pastor from Mount Zion Baptist Church, Gallatin TN. Please pray for his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and congregation. Arrangements are as follows: Visitation: Friday, May 5, 2023 - 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Visitation - Saturday, May 6, 2023, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with Celebration of Life Service to follow at Strawther & White Funeral Home.
