Mrs. Mattie E. Head was the daughter of the late Barbee and Clara Lee Carter.

Late Saturday evening September 20th, 2014, her time of peace came at Summer Regional Medical Center.

Mattie was a kind and loving women. As the backbone of the family she devoted much of her time to caring for her family members and keeping
everything in order.

Mattie is survived by husband of 55 years Henry Head; 4 Children: Henry Head, Dewayne Head, Linda Head, and Kevin Head; 3 brother Wilson Carter, William Working and Boot from Sandusky, Ohio 4 sisters: Clara Dotson, Ann Lee, Mattie Debow and Mary Duncan and Mary Duncan: 11 Grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren; 4 Nieces and 1 Nephew; 3 Great Nieces ans 5 Great great nieces and nephews. Devoted friends: Marie Franklin and Sylvia Thomas-Smith, and many other relatives and friends whom all will cherish her memory.
