Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his wife Janice Carter, Daughter- Pamela Carter, Five brothers-William, Charles, Earl, George and John Carter. Three sisters- Francis Johnson, Susie Mae Rogan, and Carrie Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son-James(Terri) Carter of Baton Rouge, LA: Three Daughters; Janet (William) Bobbitt of Trenton, TN, Patti(Eddie) Harbert of Nashville,TN, and Wanda Carter of Dallas TX. Nine Grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a very special person Ms. Chris Buford and a host of nieces,nephews, and cousins and friends.
