Mrs. Etta Mae Hill was born on Jan.22,1926 in Sumner County, TN. She was the daughter of Presley Garrett and Mary Key. She was raised in Chicago, IL. She worked 18 years at Gallatin High School, retired in 1993 to care for her husband, John Wesley Hill till his passing in 1994. She was a member of St. Luke A.M.E Church.

Mrs. Etta Mae Hill was peacefully called home on April 30,2015 in Gallatin,TN. She is preceded in death by her son: Rev. Dr. Allen Preston Brice and her 3 infant sons: Robert Martin, Allen Brice and William Mark Brice.
Her surviving family: brother, Donnie Franklin of Gallatin,TN.sister, Ruby Jean Staten of Gallatin, TN. 4 daughters Annetta (Rogers) Stinson of Greensville, SC, Laura( Jerry) Williams of Tucker,GA; Elmarie Brice of Antioch, TN, and her youngest daughter, Mary Brice of Gallatin, TN. 3 grandsons-Roger,Kelvin, and Allen Jr. 3 granddaughters- Angela, Shauna,and Erica, 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. Lifelong friend-Mrs. Hattie Tunstill. and a host of family and friends.
