Rev. Sam Carter Jr. was born on July 17,1930 to the late Mr.Sammie Lee Carter Sr. and Mrs.Annie Robb Carter. Rev. Sam Carter Jr.departed this life on October 7,2014 at the Hartsville Convalescent Center.
Rev. Carter became an Ordained Minister and served as an Associate Minister at Greater Beech Hill Baptist Church until his health started to decline.
Rev. Carter was married for over 45 years to Mary Jane Carter.
He is preceded in death by his wife, three Brothers: Willie J. Carter, Tommy Lee and Charles Henry, one Sister, Sariah.
He leaves to cherish his memory: four Children, John, Penny, Betty and a younger son. Stepson, Barry W. (Althea) Dillard of Atlanta, GA.Grandchildren: Keisha Alexander, Kenyetta Head, Kendrick Dillard, Brandon Dillard, Ashlee Wilson, Rick and Nick Moore. Eighteen Great Grandchildren. He also leaves family in other states and host of devoted friends and family.
